Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests

FAMILY
We are studying and memorizing Phillipians 4: 4-9 and learning to stop worrying and start praying: telling God what we need from Him and thanking Him for all He has done and then learning to receive God's Peace.

Audrey (5): Is a little delayed in speech pronunciation but this problem may correct itself once she starts school. She enjoys doing "Sing, Spell, Read and Write" with Mom during the day.

Caleb (10)
: Please pray for his emotional and social struggles at school and in groups. He also needs to continue learning self control. He loves to draw, read, and invent strange gadgets.

Barb
: Pray that she would make good health decisions to lower cholesterol and feel better. The challenges of being in ministry (the MCHH 'mom'), and managing being a wife and mom.

Dan: Pray for his Crohn's disease, sleep struggles, and joint pain. Managing these stresses also takes a toll on his ability to focus and stay on top of the many administrative responsibilities in military ministry.

MINISTRY
Our financial situation is struggling. We need around $1000 more in monthly support to be able to stay here for the long haul. (See our Donation post for more info on how to help.) We are cutting expenses where we can and are living on a generous 1 time donation to make up the difference, but will practically have to leave Alaska within 2 years if these monthly monies are not made up. Pray that God would sell some of those "cattle on a thousand hills" (PS 50:10).

Leaders: Pray that God would bring mature leaders into our ministry to mentor and help grow some of our singles and married folks. Many of our folks want to grow...they just need a mentor (programs only go so far).

Chaplains: Pray that we continue to be blessed with caring and connected chaplains that we can partner with to reach these military friends.

Community: As you may know our community is made up of people from both the Army & Air Force bases here. We have several men and women from each base deployed to locations around the world. Which means we have spouses and children here at home without them. Please be in constant prayer for these families, wives and children, in stressful situations.

Wes and Elaine: (Our 1 year ministry interns) They have officially been accepted to Cadence and will need to continue to raise funds and will within 6 months likely be off to a location of their own. Providing a "Home away from Home" for military folks somewhere else in the world. Pray for replacements to help fill their shoes here in Alaska and pray for their next location!  We're going to miss them terribly!

Dan and family,

You are in my prayers. I am still confident of this, I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Praying in your confidence in our Father and His will. Praying for His peace today and each day to come, come closer to Him.

Semper Fidelis in the Love of Christ Jesus,
